The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Army said on his Facebook page that he held a working meeting on improving the training of the military. According to him, an important prerequisite for preserving the lives of defenders is high-quality training at all stages, writes NBN.
The military leader heard a report on the pilot project, which provides for an increase in the duration of basic general military training from 1 to 1.5 months, and also takes into account current needs and challenges.
The general clarified that the new BOVP model is already being implemented and at the beginning of winter he will make a decision on the next stage of increasing the duration of basic training for defenders, if the operational situation allows.
The commander-in-chief added that in the Defense Forces, the airborne assault troops have become the real flagship of personnel training, so other formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should adopt their approach.
Earlier, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army said that the Russian invaders were unable to seize the initiative from the defenders in the Kursk region.
