As reported by NBN with reference to the Facebook profile of the head of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovych, rumors that form a negative impression among the population regarding changes in the functioning of the MSEK and the system of social support for persons who have received disabilities are unfounded, that is, groundless.
According to Zholnovych, all citizens who have been assigned disability pensions will continue to receive social payments after the above-described reform. In particular, no payments/state guarantees to citizens who received pensions legally will be reduced or revised.
The official added that the transformation of social support for persons who have become disabled is aimed at expanding assistance to those who have suffered an injury/harm to health, and will also speed up its provision, reducing bureaucracy, and making this system, both during and after illness/injury, more understandable, simplified and comfortable for citizens.
