Some Ukrainians translate the Russian expression “включение” as “в кінці кінців”, which is one of the most common mistakes. Linguists have explained how to say this phrase correctly in Ukrainian, the NBN publication reports.
Linguists offer five correct options for saying “включение” in Ukrainian, which are worth learning and remembering: резштою, ерыші-рест, наресті, конець кінцем, у кінецем підсумку.
Let's look at examples from literature for each option:
“Ken people read Shevchenko in their own way, as, reshtoyu, in their own way read his skin generation” (Oles Gonchar).
“Vin ureshti -restin the face of the new vislizne and, perhaps, if kill in a new rightful moment” (Vasily Stus).
“In front, nareshti, empty and long-awaited” (Vasily Stus).
“And the end of the end we came to that very broken splinter times of patched coritis and coalitions” (Vladimir Vinnychenko).
“Have no luck with the Ottli in the end bag did not achieve success, she was trying to create them, perhaps, a little bit of wonder, it must be said, she did not dare on their fathers” (Franz Kafka).
Note that “zreshtoyu”, “ureshti-resht”, “nareshti”, “kinets kinetsem” can be both full members of the sentence and insertions, in the second option, they need to be separated by commas.
Earlier, linguist Alexander Avramenko explained how to correctly write in Ukrainian wish a good start to the day – “good morning” or “good “wound”.
