According to her, there are no cells in the “4 North” unit of the Brooklyn City Detention Center. The prisoners are kept in dormitory-style rooms, NBN writes with reference to The Mirror US.
The prisoners get up every day at 06:00, and during the day they can play board or card games, ping-pong, and also spend time in the gym.
The journalist noted that the detainees have access to tablets that are not connected to the Internet and can play video games, listen to music, and watch movies.
At the same time, there are some strict rules behind bars, for example, the beds are placed no more than 30 centimeters apart. There are only thin curtains in the bathrooms and showers, so those arrested can hear a lot.
