In 2024, the minimum wage in Ukraine was increased in two stages: from January to 7,100 hryvnia, and from April to 8,000 hryvnia, but it seems that such an increase in social standards should not be expected in 2025.

As reported by NBN with reference to the video material of the YouTube channel Media Center Ukraine, the head of the Ministry of Finance Sergei Marchenko said statement – next year the Cabinet of Ministers does not plan to revise the level of social standards, that is, it will remain unchanged.
According to Marchenko, during this year the government increased the “minimum” by 19 percent, but there is no potential for a subsequent increase in the coming months. In particular, the government plans to maintain “the current level of 8,000 hryvnia for the entire next year.” At the same time, the official added that funding for the social sphere will continue to be stable.
In addition, in accordance with the approved “Budget Declaration for 2025-2027”, certain social indicators will not be adjusted upwards until 2028. We are talking about:
- minimum wage;
- minimum pension;
- living wage.
