In an interview with the Ukrinform agency, the military leader said that at the beginning of the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region, the enemy tried to stop its advance by any means possible – using aviation, setting up ambushes, and constantly bombing its territory.
However, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces reached certain lines, the Russian Armed Forces went on the offensive, trying to break through the Ukrainian defense, NBN reports.
According to Pavlyuk, Putin's army is now using the tactics of small groups supported by artillery. In this way, the enemy is trying to dislodge the defenders from their positions.
He specified that in certain sections of the front in the border region of the Russian Federation, the occupiers are bringing in units up to a company (battalion) strong, supported by armored vehicles.
The general added that such tactics by the invaders are accompanied by significant losses of manpower and combat vehicles, even if they achieve success. Therefore, the command of Putin's army is constantly transferring additional troops to the region from other directions.
As reported, a Forbes analyst named a “recipe” for massive losses of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk direction.
