Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in In an interview with the publication “Noviny.LIVE” he answered the question of when the Ukrainian Defense Forces will be able to strike at factories in the Russian Federation that produce the kamikaze drones “Shahed”, “NBN” reports.
According to the general, it is not very easy for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to “reach” such enterprises. In particular, the plant in Yelabuga of the Republic of Tatarstan or the Rzhev plant in the Tver region are located at a very large distance from Ukraine. Therefore, they have time to take security measures before the drones arrive, which move to the target “not one or even four hours.”
Skibitsky noted that the Ukrainian army also needs more powerful weapons, since it is very difficult to destroy large Russian production areas with one blow.
At the same time, as the military leader reminded, it is necessary to take non-kinetic measures to stop the production of drones or reduce production – impose sanctions, carry out information and cyber strikes, etc.
Recall that, as Western media reported, the Defense Forces have learned to “disorient” the “Shaheds” with the help of electronic warfare, sending them to Russia or Belarus.
