The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, during his speech at the 31st annual meeting of the Council of Heads of the OSCE Foreign Ministries, stated that the West needs to understand two points regarding Russia's plans for our country, the NBN publication reports.
According to the diplomat, Moscow is striving for “Yalta-2” or at least “Minsk-3”, that is, it wants to be in the world of zones of influence, where new borders and rules are dictated by the use of force. At the same time, Kiev is striving to achieve a just peace in Ukraine.
The minister explained that today two approaches to the future are being decided in our country. The West needs to eliminate the “gray zones” right now, as the Russian Federation is turning them into zones of influence, and decide on the geopolitical future of Ukraine.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that an aggressive country is not a partner, but the biggest threat to common security, in particular, the presence of Russians in the OSCE threatens cooperation between European states.
Earlier, Sybiga explained why Kyiv will not abandon bilateral security agreements in its quest for NATO membership.
