On Monday, December 9, the Ukrainian leader wrote in his Telegram channel that if there is a pause in the war, and our country still does not become a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the question arises – who will guarantee the country's security.
Considering this, Kyiv can think about and work on the proposal of the head of France, the NBN publication reports.
Zelensky recalled that Macron proposed to deploy part of the foreign troops on the territory of our state, which would guarantee Ukraine's security until it integrated into the Alliance.
The guarantor added that at the same time, Kyiv needs to have a clear idea of when the country will become a member of NATO and the European Union. Understanding the future of Ukraine, these would be very effective guarantees.
Earlier, the president said that within the framework of potential agreements with the Russian Federation, our country will agree only to a fair peace.
