Artist and showman Andrey Danilko, who performs in the image of Verka Serduchka, will not be a judge of the National Selection for Eurovision this year, having refused such an offer.

The “Diya” application has launched voting for the jury of the National Selection for Eurovision 2025, but Andriy Danilko's name is not on the list of candidates for the role of judge. Ukrainians assumed that the artist was not offered the role of judge because of cancellation for Russian-language songs.
Showman's manager Andriy Urenev, in a comment to the Telegram channel “Shcho ti znaesh pro Bobul?” said that “Suspilne” offered the artist to sit in the judge's chair this year, but he refused, the NBN publication writes.
Note that the musician was a jury member at six out of eight National Selections, missing the shows in 2022 and 2023. Currently, the leaders of the voting in the Diia application are the winner of Eurovision 2016 Jamala, the frontman of the rock group Bez obmezhen Sergey Tanchynets and the soloist of the electrofolk group Go-A Kateryna Pavlenko.
Earlier, Danilko admitted that he was uncomfortable in the judge's chair, since there was no one to evaluate at the National Selection. The artist is also unhappy with the change in the show's format – the organizers removed two semi-finals, leaving only the final. The musician claims that there is no intrigue in the competition anymore.
As reported, Jamala named three singers whom she would like to see at Eurovision from Ukraine.
