The so-called “strengthening” of the North Atlantic Alliance's presence in Ukraine is one of the key agreements reached at the summer NATO summit in Washington.

As reported by “NBN”, with reference to an exclusive material from “Interfax-Ukraine”, a statement was made by the head of the NATO Representation in Ukraine, Patrick Turner – the indicator of the presence of Alliance representatives on the territory of our country has tripled during 2024, but they intend to increase it in 2025.
Based on Turner's words, NATO specialists, one way or another, have been present here in Ukraine for the past 26 years – we are talking about the Liaison Office and the Information and Documentation Center, which have been transformed into the Representation of the North Atlantic Alliance.
The official added that the purpose of expanding the number of personnel is to transmit “the entire very important agenda” between NATO and Kiev, which provides for the possibility of a significant presence of the defense bloc.
In particular, the NATO representation team currently numbers approximately 50 people, and next year, approximately 20 will be added, because:
There is a lot of work, so we need to continue to increase our presence. This is a mix of Ukrainian and international colleagues.
