As reported by NBN with reference to Politico's material, Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico made an accusation against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding an attempt “to give a bribe” from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation for Bratislava's refusal to hinder our country's membership in NATO.
Based on Fico's words, he informed Zelensky – Slovakia will suffer annual losses of 0.5 billion euros, since it will not be able to make a profit from transporting gas from the aggressor country, to which the Ukrainian president allegedly asked the head of the Slovak government whether Bratislava would vote for Ukraine's integration into the North Atlantic Alliance if Kyiv compensated for the specified amount from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation.
If we believe the Slovak prime minister, he rejected this proposal:
And, of course, I said – never.
In addition, Fico separately told media representatives that Zelensky's proposals, made behind “closed doors”, were “absurd”, and Ukraine is openly seeking to cause damage to the economic sphere of an EU member state.
Earlier, we wrote about how Fico threatened Zelensky, who announced the termination of the transit of “blue fuel” from the Russian Federation.
