As NBN reports with reference to the statement of the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy Dmitry Pletenchuk, voiced during the telethon on the YouTube channel “TSN”, the above-described dry cargo ship, judging by everything, was transporting equipment that is very important for the Russians.
Based on Pletenchuk's words, this general-purpose dry cargo ship was a component of the “Syrian Express” logistics chain, delivering everything necessary to provide the Russian military base in Tartus. In particular, in the video fragments that appeared on the Internet, one can see that the Ursa Major was transporting rather expensive and complex foreign-made equipment.
The Navy representative added that only the absence of such equipment has prevented the occupiers from loading stocks of Kalibr cruise missiles on board their ships based in the Novorossiysk harbor over the past 6 months.
It should be noted that the shipowner Oboronlogistics (based in Novorossiysk) claims that the Ursa Major dry cargo ship sank as a result of a targeted terrorist attack.
Earlier we wrote about Pletenchuk reporting how many sea-based missiles the Russian Federation launched during the attack on Ukraine on December 25.
