The analytical material from the Institute for the Study of War notes that on December 26, during a conversation with media representatives, the Russian leader directly refused to accept the proposal of the newly elected US leader's team to postpone Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization for at least for a decade, the NBN publication reports.
The head of the Kremlin was asked to comment on the postponement of Ukraine's entry into the Alliance for 10-20 years as a condition for ending hostilities, which could be included in the peace plan of the 47th American president. The dictator said that it does not matter whether the neighboring country integrates into the military-political bloc “today, tomorrow or in 10 years.”
American experts explained that the head of the Russian Federation confirmed his unwillingness to consider compromises on his demands regarding Ukraine – to force it to become a neutral state forever.
Recall that yesterday the Russian leader also announced that Slovakia is ready to provide a platform for peace talks between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
