As reported by NBN with a link to the official website of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU), the state has the right to take away the above-described privileges from elderly citizens if they go beyond certain criteria.
In particular, such a state discount is guaranteed only to retired teachers who, after retiring, continue to live in rural areas.
One of the government's requirements is that the income of such pensioners received over the past six months should not exceed the limit that determines the right to receive social benefits (in the current year – 4,240 hryvnia).
Also, if the income indicator has nevertheless increased or the pensioner had to move from the village, for example, forcedly, as an internally displaced person, the citizen loses the right to the specified 100% discount, and can only apply for a subsidy, in accordance with general grounds.
Earlier, our information portal wrote that the Pension Fund of Ukraine reminded which pensioners need to confirm “being alive” before December 31.
