On the first day of the new year, Ukraine stopped transporting gas from Russia to Europe. In his New Year's video address, the Slovak Prime Minister tried to scare people with the “consequences” of Kiev's corresponding step, the NBN publication reports.
According to the representative of Bratislava, in world politics it does not matter whether “elephants love each other or fight – the grass always suffers.” The head of government noted that he does not want the kind of “grass” for his country that his leadership is seeing after Ukraine stopped transporting “blue fuel” from the aggressor country.
The politician believes that the corresponding decision by the authorities of the neighboring state will have “dramatic consequences” for all EU members, but not for the Russians.
Recall that today the 5-year contract for the transit of “blue fuel” by Ukraine from the Russian Federation expired. Earlier, the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky proposed transporting gas from other countries to Europe.
The president also commented on the recent meeting of the Slovak Prime Minister with the Kremlin dictator in Moscow.
