The American Institute for the Study of War named the number of losses of the Russian occupation army on the front in Ukraine last year.

The ISW analytical material notes that last year the aggressor country lost 420,000 invaders on the front. At the same time, the occupiers captured 4,168 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, the NBN publication reports.
American experts write in their report that the territorial gains of the “second army of the world” are mainly fields and small settlements.
According to analysts, the greatest advance of the Russian Armed Forces was from September to November, during which period the invaders received 56.5% of territorial gains for the year. During this offensive, the terrorist state lost a record number of fighters – 125,800 occupiers.
Already in the first month of winter, the advance of Putin's army slowed down, it was able to capture 593 square kilometers, while the number of daily losses of Russia remained high.
The Institute for the Study of War notes that it is not yet clear whether the military leadership of the Russian Federation is ready to bear such losses if the pace of advance of the “liberators” continues to slow.
