As reported by “NBN” with a link according to the explanation voiced by the Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Sergei Tsekhotsky on the air of the telethon on the YouTube channel “TSN”, on the night of January 1, the defenders eliminated a large number of “liberators” seeking to advance in the Pokrovsk direction.
Based on Tsekhotsky's words, this direction is currently the hottest – the “second army of the world” is trying to encircle Pokrovsk, while simultaneously cutting off logistics routes. However, the Defense Forces fighters are keeping the situation under control and intend to eliminate as many enemies as necessary.
The military added that the invaders are aware of the dynamics of their increased losses and want not only to seize Pokrovsk, but also to reach the Pavlograd-Pokrovsk highway in order to force the Ukrainian Armed Forces to abandon their positions, taking advantage of the intense escalation.
