During 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed or damaged more than tens of thousands of units of various equipment of the “second army of the world.”

As reported by NBN, citing material from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the terrorist state still has 47 percent of its pre-war tank stockpiles, 52 percent of its infantry fighting vehicles, and 45 percent of its armored personnel carriers, which indicates one thing: the Russian Federation will not be able to hold out until 2026 on its accumulated arsenal, since the Russian defense industry is unable to cope with the restoration of these assets.
In particular, military analysts note that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have “demilitarized” in the period from January 1, 2024 to January 1, 2025:
- 3,689 tanks;
- 8,956 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs);
- 13,050 artillery systems;
- 407 air defense systems.
The Institute for the Study of War emphasized that the current rate of production/repair of armored vehicles and tanks [250-300 “new/fully modernized” during the year] in the Russian Federation indicates that the scale of losses is exorbitant and irreplaceable even in the long term, given that the aggressor country is forced to resort to using its reserves left over from Soviet times.
Earlier, our information portal wrote about the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces disclosed the number of the Russian group sent to capture Chasovy Yar.
