Hennig-Kloska spoke about the threats from Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on the Polish news channel TVP Info stop electricity supplies to Ukraine if it stops gas transportation from Russia to Europe.
The minister said that the behavior of the Slovak prime minister is directed against European states, the NBN publication reports.
The official assured that if the Bratislava representative fulfills his threats, the Polish operator is ready to increase electricity sales to Ukraine if Kyiv wants to do this or has to.
It should be noted that, according to media reports, despite Fico's threats, the Slovak operator of the electricity transmission system does not intend to violate the terms of the contract with NEC Ukrenergo, which was concluded for 12 months in the spring of 2024, and stop supplies.
Earlier, Fico also threatened to reduce or completely stop providing assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia due to “Zelensky's sabotage.”
