The Kyiv Digital app reported that there will be no power outages on Wednesday, January 8. Since the beginning of 2025, restrictions have not been applied in Ukraine, the NBN publication reports.
On Tuesday morning, January 7, the press service of NEC Ukrenergo reported that today electricity consumption as of 9:30 was 5.5% lower than at the same time the previous day – on Monday. This is due to warming in most regions.
The company recalled that power engineers are working to restore the energy system, which last year was subjected to 13 massive attacks by Russian invaders with missiles and drones.
Considering the large-scale strikes on critical infrastructure, the situation in the energy system may change and require the introduction of restrictions.
Kiev residents can find relevant up-to-date information in the Kyiv Digital application, as well as on the DTEK Kyiv Electric Grids website. For household consumers in the Kyiv region, new data is published on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Grids portal.
Recall that Poland is ready to supply Ukraine with more electricity if Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico carries out his threats.
