The head of the region, Roman Busargin, reported that on the night of Wednesday, January 8, Saratov and Engels were hit by drones. The official said that as a result of the UAV attack, there was damage to one of the industrial enterprises, without specifying which one he was talking about.
Later, the governor of the Saratov region added that a fire broke out at the enterprise, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is working to localize the fire, the publication “NBN” reports.
At the same time, photographs of the fire were published online and it was revealed that UAVs had hit the oil depot of the Kristall plant, where the Russians store fuel for the Engels-2 air base of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The facility is located 7 kilometers from the airfield, and there are at least 70 fuel tanks on its territory.
