During his speech at the Rammstein meeting, the Ukrainian leader said that the day before he held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where special attention was paid to the production and supply of UAVs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as electronic warfare.
According to him, drones help keep the occupiers at bay, being one of the most important components of the war with the Russian Federation, the NBN publication reports.
The guarantor said that this year Ukraine wants to set a record for the quality and quantity of domestically produced drones and those provided by allies. Kyiv has already signed 27 agreements with partners, but this is not enough, so foreign countries should join in with their investments in cooperation in the UAV sector.
The President recalled that the priority in the confrontation with Russia remains strengthening air defense, but not all partners have fulfilled their obligations to supply the systems. Zelensky noted that the shortage of air defense systems leads to tragedies, like the day before in Zaporizhia, where 13 people were killed and 112 were injured.
The head of state added that the West can stop the terror of the Russian Armed Forces if it urgently transfers air defense systems to Ukraine.
Earlier, the Ukrainian leader warned about the consequences of the US withdrawal from NATO for European countries.
