As reported by NBN with reference to the material from Le Temps, a statement was made by the representative of the Swiss Foreign Ministry, Nicolas Bidault: his neutral state is ready to facilitate a meeting on its territory between the new US President Donald Trump and the Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin, but there are some nuances.
Based on Bidault's words, after the Global Peace Summit held in Bürgenstock (held in June last year), both Kiev, Moscow and Washington regularly asked Bern, is it ready to fully support any diplomatic efforts aimed at establishing peace in Ukraine.
The Swiss diplomat added – at the current moment, all interested parties have been informed about the readiness of a neutral country to provide a platform for peace talks, however, such a meeting can only be organized in one case – the White House and the Kremlin must ask for it themselves.
