Not long ago, former Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev made a series of dubious statements, for example, regarding the need to conduct the negotiation process on Ukraine only with the participation of Moscow and Washington, but not Brussels or Kiev.

As NBN reports with reference to the X-account of the UK Ministry of Defense, the recent provocative “messages” voiced by the assistant to the leader of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev are part of the traditional methodology of the Russian elite, which is aimed at undermining Ukrainian statehood, identity and culture.
British military intelligence analysts noted that all of the above openly contradicts the recognition of the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine by the Russian Federation after the collapse of the USSR, and is also aimed at minimizing the international recognition of our country.
Also, the Kremlin's rhetoric, first of all, regular accusations of Ukrainian Nazism (both before and after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine in 2022), judging by everything, are intended to influence the activity of the “liberators” and Russian society, motivating the latter to more actively participate and support the war against our state.
The UK Ministry of Defence stressed that in this way Moscow seeks to rely on “deep historical and psychological influence”, drawing a parallel between the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the USSR with Nazi Germany, forming the perception of our country and its population as a clear threat among Russians, “thereby justifying the Russian invasion”.
