As reported by NBN with reference to the material of Public Broadcasting of Latvia, the head of the Latvian Ministry of Defense Andris Spruds explained under what conditions it is possible to send peacekeepers to the territory of Ukraine.

Based on Spruds’ words, it is possible to discuss the above-described “specific” scenario only after the signing of a peace treaty between Moscow and Kiev, since at the current moment the format of actions has not been thought out, and there are also no “direct prerequisites” for the prompt transfer of peacekeepers to Ukraine.

At the same time, the former commander of the National Armed Forces of Latvia Raimonds Graube clarified that his country is obliged to join to the implementation of such a mission, since then Riga will be able to count on the provision of identical support “in similar cases”:

…We cannot expect help only for ourselves, and not come to the aid of those who need it.

Earlier, our information portal wrote about how Zelensky responded to the words of the candidate for the presidency of Poland, who “does not see” Ukraine in NATO and the EU.
