Not long ago, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that only Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance is the “cheapest” guarantee of security, which contradicts the key narrative of Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin.

As reported by NBN, citing an Interfax-Ukraine article, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte made a statement: Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has no right to either veto or any voting bans regarding the country's accession to NATO in the future.

Based on Rutte's words, in addition to all of the above, the opposite scenario is possible only if Putin himself wants to join Russia to NATO, but this is unlikely.

At the same time, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance added that Ukraine's exclusively full membership in NATO would be the best option to guarantee the stability of peace, which is possible after peace talks between Kiev and Moscow:

We [NATO member states] must be confident that the peace that we have collectively supported will be sustainable and will never again be questioned.

Rutte stressed that it is necessary to avoid duplicating the situation with the Minsk agreements, and therefore it follows:

…Focus on putting Ukraine in the best possible position [before starting negotiations with Russia].

Earlier we wrote about NATO answering whether Putin's army would be able to break through the front line in Ukraine in 2025.
