The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine commented on media reports about Kirill Budanov’s statement at a closed meeting in the Verkhovna Rada.

The press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the alleged statement by the head of the department, Kirill Budanov, at a closed meeting in the Verkhovna Rada does not correspond to reality, writes the publication “NBN”.
Military intelligence called on the media not to spread rumors, disinformation and unverified data, in particular in matters related to the war. Budanov noted that such statements can be distorted in their own interests by individual politicians using the media.
The GUR reminded Ukrainians that the dissemination of any messages that allegedly representatives of the military and political leadership of Ukraine are discussing something at secret meetings harms the security of our country and is used by Russians in their interests.
It should be noted that the publication “Ukrainian Truth”, citing sources, reported that at a closed meeting in the Rada, the country's chief intelligence officer allegedly warned that negotiations to end the war must begin before the summer, otherwise processes will be launched that threaten the existence of the state.
Earlier, a corresponding statement was commented on by Oleh Dunda, a deputy from the political force “Servant of the People”.
