On the night of this Wednesday, January 29, kamikaze drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense managed to hit the oil depot of the Lukoil company in the city of Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region, despite the fact that the Russian air defense allegedly “intercepted and destroyed” 104 Ukrainian drones.

As NBN reports with reference to the official X-account of the UK Ministry of Defense, regular successful attacks by the Defense Forces of our country on infrastructure facilities located in the “deep” regions of the Russian Federation indicate the strengthening of Ukraine's ability to carry out such strikes.

According to British military intelligence analysts, the first such evidence is that on Wednesday, January 8, Ukrainian drones successfully attacked the Kristall oil depot in the Russian Federation (8 kilometers from the Engels-2 air base): the drone strike caused large-scale fires in tanks with fuels and lubricants (F&L), which, according to Russian media, took at least several days to extinguish.

In addition, on the night of Tuesday, January 14, a similar attack was carried out on the same oil depot, which again provoked identical fires and caused significant damage to the infrastructure of the facility: 14 tanks with oil products were destroyed/damaged.

British intelligence emphasized:

Repeated strikes indicate Ukraine's increased ability to strike Russian infrastructure facilities.
