As reported by NBN with reference to the material from Espresso, Senior Lieutenant Artem Penkov, who is an officer in charge of the self-propelled artillery division of the Kara-Dag brigade, explained why the “liberators” avoid frequent use of mechanized groups for attacks on the Pokrovsky section of the front.

Based on Penkov’s words, such minimization of mechanized enemy assaults was provoked by the rather effective/successful work of artillery systems and kamikaze strike drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In particular, thanks to the effective combined work of artillerymen and “drone handlers”, enemy armored vehicle groups are “disposed of” even on the approaches to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defensive line: Putin's army prefers to attack with small infantry units.

However, the military man added that on the specified section of the front, the invaders are using all available weapons systems – from mortars and artillery to aviation and various types of strike and reconnaissance UAVs, covering the latter targets with electronic warfare systems.

Penkov summarized:

…We continue to do quite difficult work against enemy drones and their reconnaissance assets.

Earlier we wrote about the fact that yesterday, January 28, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on attacks by the occupiers near Pokrovsk.
