The head of the Hungarian government in an interview The Swiss publication Neue Zürcher Zeitung called the West's decision to start supplying Ukraine with military aid in February 2022 a big mistake. The politician believes that the West can win the war if it sends its troops to Ukraine, but this option has already been ruled out. Orban noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have enough of their own soldiers.
The head of government added that “weak leaders cause wars, strong ones create peace,” so the participation of US President Donald Trump is now necessary. The Prime Minister warned that in the absence of negotiations, Ukraine will become the “Afghanistan of the European Union.”
