As reported by NBN with reference to the material from the Android Headlines publication, Google traditionally announces the next generation of the “people’s” Pixel A series at the May I/O conference, but in 2025, the management of the tech giant decided to postpone the release for the sake of worthy competition with an identical device from Apple — the iPhone 4 SE.
It is assumed that the Google Pixel 9A smartphone will be able to boast:
- 6.28-inch Actua OLED display with a 120 GHz refresh rate (not 60 GHz like the Apple iPhone 4 SE competitor);
- an innovative chipset with an 8-core Tensor G4 microprocessor;
- 8 GB of RAM;
- internal storage with a capacity of 128/256 GB (depending on price);
- a battery that is 13 percent larger than its predecessor, the Pixel 8A — 5 100 mAh;
- rear camera with 48-megapixel Samsung GN8 sensor;
- front ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX712 camera with 13 megapixels.
The cost of the basic version with 8 GB of RAM plus an internal storage of 128 GB will be about 500 US dollars or 20,000 hryvnia at the official NBU exchange rate.
