The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex stated that the authorities have no plans to increase housing and communal services in the country, the NBN publication writes with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
At the same time, the official does not know what will happen to tariffs for gas and water distribution, which were last changed before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. Gerus clarified that the country has different approaches to utility tariffs: some increased last year, while others have not changed since 2021.
We remind you that the country has a moratorium on increasing tariffs for heating, hot water, and gas.
Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that raising tariffs before the end of the heating season is not being discussed. The official confirmed that he had not heard about the country's leadership's plans to this effect.
