The domestic parliament has adopted a law concerning the procedure for contract military service by foreigners/stateless persons in various units of the Defense Forces.

As reported by “NBN” with a link on the official page of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, foreigners/stateless persons intending to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Special Transport Service and the National Guard will need to undergo a certain type of psychophysiological examination.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense, in the newly created Center for Recruiting Foreigners/Stateless Persons, specialists from the department and the National Guard will be required to check the answers of potential recruits on a “lie detector” (polygraph), in the language that the candidate speaks, in order to understand how the potential defender feels about the policies of our country.
Also, already active foreign military personnel can be sent for the above-described test if a corresponding request is received from the SBU or the command of the units.
However, Applicants-recruits will be asked in advance to agree in writing to the said examination, and also to confirm the absence of medical contraindications, since the opposite scenario is grounds for refusal to accept for military service.
