The head of the Hungarian government responded to the EU officials suspect that US leader Donald Trump has apparently begun to negotiate with the Kremlin to end the war without the participation of Ukraine and Europe, the NBN newspaper writes.

According to him, such statements are “sad evidence of poor Brussels leadership.” The politician noted that while the US President and the head of the Kremlin are negotiating peace, European officials are allegedly making useless statements.

The Budapest representative said that Europe cannot ask for a place at the negotiating table, but must “earn” it through force, good leadership, and smart diplomacy. Orban once again accused the EU leadership of intending to “support killings for as long as necessary,” calling Brussels' position unacceptable.

Earlier, the media reported that the US President did not notify EU allies about his phone conversation with Putin. European leaders began to suspect Trump of “treason.”
