As reported by NBN with reference to the Telegram profile of RIA Novosti, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov provided an explanation regarding the key topics of yesterday's telephone conversations between Trump and Putin.

Based on Peskov's words, issues concerning the recognition of the Crimean Peninsula and the four “new regions” of Russia openly seized by Putin's army were allegedly not raised during the discussions between Trump and Putin.

At the same time, Putin's personal secretary added that the current White House administration reasonably believes that the “conflict” with Ukraine needs to be stopped, and the Kremlin is allegedly always open to conducting such dialogue.

Peskov emphasized that Russian structures have begun to form a contact group, the goal of which is to establish dialogue with the United States, despite the fact that there is still “no understanding of the format” of a potential negotiation process regarding the war in Ukraine.

Earlier, we wrote about how Rutte spoke about the prospects for telephone talks between Trump and Putin.
