As NBN reports with reference to the Facebook page of the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjarto, Poland and other member states of the European Union are hindering the implementation of the “peace efforts” of the head of the White House, Donald Trump.
Based on Szijjarto's words, Brussels considers Trump's “peace plan” to be a continuation of the war due to the murders and destruction that Russia is causing, but Budapest considers such proposals by the American leader (stopping any aid to Ukraine and forcing Kyiv to peace, in fact, capitulation) to be an approach to establishing peace.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister stressed that there is now a real chance to achieve peace in Ukraine thanks to Trump’s actions, which could be crowned with success, but the Polish government, together with “the rest of Brussels,” is seeking to block “peace negotiations.”
According to an official in Orban's administration, most countries on the planet, including the US and Hungary, support the idea of negotiations, but Poland and other EU members are taking a position “for continuing the war.”
