On Sunday, March 9, the American leader once again began to encroach on Greenland. Trump promised that if it were under US protectorate, Washington would “protect” the inhabitants of the world’s largest island and make them rich.
This was reported by NBN with reference to the British publication The Guardian.
Journalists recalled that on Tuesday, March 11, Greenlanders will go to the polls to choose their next government.
The Prime Minister of Greenland responded to the words of the head of the White House, saying that the politician's statements were disrespectful since the beginning of his return to power in the United States. Egede noted that such statements by the American president are counterproductive and repel the idea of closer cooperation with the States.
Greenland's prime minister has called Trump “unpredictable” and accused him of making people feel insecure as the world order falters on many fronts.
Earlier, the media reported that the US President may withdraw American troops from Germany.
