The Russian Defense Ministry reported that on the night of Tuesday, March 11, air defense forces in the aggressor country intercepted and destroyed 337 UAVs, including 91 drones in the Moscow region, 38 over the Bryansk region, 25 over the Belgorod region, 22 over the Ryazan region, 10 over the Kaluga region, 8 over the Lipetsk and Oryol regions, 6 over the Voronezh region, and 3 over the Nizhny Novgorod region. The largest number of drones, according to the ministry, were destroyed in the Kursk region – 126.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that this drone attack was the largest this year, writes the publication NBN.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrei Kovalenko, said that UAVs struck Moscow, as well as the Dyagilevo military airfield in the Ryazan region.
Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov announced two deaths and 20 injuries as a result of a drone attack on the region. Debris from the downed drones hit multi-story buildings, private homes, and cars.
The mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, claims that the air defense forces allegedly shot down 73 UAVs as they approached the city. The Putin official did not report any casualties in Moscow.
