On Thursday, March 13, Putin's adviser Yuri Ushakov said that Russia is in favor of a long-term settlement taking into account its positions. That is, Moscow rejects Washington's proposal for a 30-day truce.

According to him, Ukraine is allegedly using the temporary ceasefire for a respite, writes the NBN publication.

The head of the CPD spoke on his Telegram channel about the Kremlin representative's statements about the refusal of a short-term ceasefire. According to him, Moscow traditionally tries to distort reality and present itself as the “chief peacekeeper.”

Kovalenko drew attention to the fact that the words of Putin’s aide are not an official refusal by the aggressor country to agree to a 30-day ceasefire, since the decisions there are made by the Kremlin dictator.

However, the Russian official is trying to show that Moscow is allegedly interested in achieving peace, and a temporary truce is “not the path to peace.” Ushakov is manipulating so that the Russian Federation receives a corridor of opportunity to continue military operations and “push through” its vision.

Let us recall that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky explained why Kyiv accepted Washington’s proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.
