As NBN writes, citing an explanation voiced by the representative of the State Border Service (GBS) Andriy Demchenko on the air of the telethon on the YouTube channel TSN, Putin's troops are only trying to enter the territory of Sumy region, seeking to encircle the Defense Forces of Ukraine deployed in Kursk region.
Based on Demchenko's words, it is absolutely incorrect and premature to claim that the invaders have fully broken through the Sumy region border near the village of Novenkoye, since we are talking exclusively about an attempt to displace the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Kursk region, where the “liberators” are conducting dozens of assaults. In particular, intending to build on their “success” in the Kursk region, the occupiers are trying to cross our border line in order to encircle the defenders remaining in this region of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the State Border Guard Service spokesman added that the key task now is to prevent the enemy from crossing the Ukrainian border, as was recorded in the vicinity of the village of Novenkoye.
Demchenko emphasized that in the Sumy direction the enemies are not able to use armored vehicles, and are crossing the border in small assault groups, trying to “gain a foothold and further expand the combat zone.”
