Following a detailed report from the Ukrainian delegation on the meeting with US representatives in Jeddah, the head of state expressed hope that America would be able to increase pressure on the Russian Federation and force the aggressive country to end military operations.
According to him, the international community has not heard a meaningful response from Moscow to Washington’s proposal for a 30-day ceasefire for more than a day, writes the NBN publication.
The President is convinced that such behavior by the Kremlin confirms the desire of the Russians to continue military actions and delay the onset of peace as much as possible. The Ukrainian leader hopes that pressure on the aggressive country from America will be enough to force the enemy to end the war.
The Ukrainian leader added that Kyiv was ready for silence in the skies and at sea, but Washington proposed declaring a short-term ceasefire on the ground, organizing monitoring of compliance with the ceasefire regime.
Let us recall that the Kremlin dictator's assistant Yuri Ushakov said that Moscow would not agree to a truce. The head of the Central Intelligence Agency Andrei Kovalenko responded to the words of the Russian official.
