On March 9-10, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a series of drone strikes on the Ryazan and Novokuibyshevsk oil refineries, thereby depleting the capacity of the Russian Federation’s fuel infrastructure.

As NBN reports with reference to the material of the Telegram channel of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council, the aggressor country has recorded a noticeable drop in fuel exports due to Ukraine’s effective attacks.

As it became known, the volume of diesel fuel exports transported to Africa by the “shadow fleet” in February of this year alone fell almost by half – from 1.27 million tons to 684,000 tons. In addition, Brazil receives more than 40 percent less Russian refined oil products, and exports to other Latin American countries have almost ceased. Also, the total volume of seaborne exports of fuel products “collapsed” by 15 percent.

The CPD noted that the key factor that provoked the above-described collapse in exports was “unscheduled repairs at oil refineries,” which were hit by Ukrainian drones. In addition, anti-Russian sanctions and the need to primarily supply fuel to Putin’s army in Ukraine have a serious impact on exports.

The CPD summed up:

By continuing its war of conquest against Ukraine, the Kremlin is driving the Russian economy deeper into a severe crisis.

Earlier, we wrote about how the head of the CPD commented on Ushakov’s statements about the Russian Federation’s refusal to accept a 30-day ceasefire.
