On Friday, March 14, the Tuapse Oil Refinery was attacked. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out at the plant, which was assigned the 4th hazard rank. The Governor of Krasnodar Krai Veniamin Kondratyev reported that the Emergencies Ministry rescuers were able to completely extinguish the fire on the territory of the plant only today.
The head of the region specified that after the plane landed at the oil refinery in Tuapse, a tank containing about 20,000 tons of gasoline caught fire, the NBN publication writes.
According to Putin's official, the fire covered more than 1,000 square meters of the enterprise's territory on the surface; 188 rescuers and 55 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the large-scale fire.
Initially, the Russian Federation stated that the Tuapse Oil Refinery was attacked by a UAV. The publication “Ukrainian Truth”, citing sources, wrote that a new Ukrainian missile “Long Neptune” flew into the enterprise. On Saturday, March 15, the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Ukraine successfully tested this weapon – it hit a target at a distance of 1000 kilometers.
