As reported by NBN with reference to the material from CENSOR.NET, a statement was made by President Volodymyr Zelensky: Ukraine is not ready to give up the occupied territories to the Russian Federation, since such a decision is a “red line” for Kyiv.
Based on Zelensky's words, holding any negotiations with the Russian Federation is very fragile and will not allow the war to end, since the Russians are openly showing their unpreparedness to carry out this process, and the topic of territories will become one of the most sensitive and complex.
The guarantor added that the issue of an “unconditional ceasefire” in Ukraine should be approached by moving forward in certain specific ways, in particular, by first achieving silence in the skies and in the Black Sea, and then achieving the same along the entire front line, which will be the right steps, “if we really want to end the war with a just peace.”
Zelensky summed up:
For us, the red line is the recognition of the Ukrainian temporarily occupied territories as Russian. We will not go for it.
