As reported by NBN, citing a statement by the representative of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin, which was aired on the telethon on the YouTube channel TSN, the “liberators” are now seeking to seize a number of specific bridgeheads and commanding heights in Zaporozhye.
Based on Voloshin’s words, for the above-described reason, the occupiers intensified their offensive near the settlements of Stepnoye and Lobkovo in the Orekhov direction, trying to reach the so-called bridgehead in this area.
The spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces added that the matter concerns not only taking control of the commanding heights, but also seizing a place from which the “second army of the world” will be able to fire large-caliber artillery at the eastern and southern suburbs of Zaporozhye, as well as cover Kamenskoye and Stepnogorsk with fire.
Voloshin emphasized:
He [the enemy] wants to gain a certain tactical advantage, to improve his tactical position in order to further develop his actions [in the Zaporizhia region].
