As reported by NBN, citing the YouTube channel of American journalist Tucker Carlson, Donald Trump's special representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, made a statement that holding a presidential campaign in Ukraine is a necessary step, and the authorities of our country have approved such actions.
Based on Witkoff's words, the presidential elections in Ukraine will definitely take place, as Kyiv agreed to this. In particular, the American high-ranking functionary believes that Volodymyr Zelensky will do everything possible to organize the presidential elections.
However, Witkoff did not name a clear time frame for the above-described expression of will, but emphasized that Zelensky found himself in an extremely difficult situation, since he is forced to confront a nuclear power (Russia) with a population four times larger than Ukraine’s.
Also, the US special representative emphasized:
Now is the best time for him [Zelensky] to make a deal. President Trump can give him the best possible deal he will ever get.
