As reported by NBN, citing the official Facebook page of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, the Ukrainian army is conducting a defensive operation in the zone controlled by the Kursk group of troops.
Based on Syrsky’s words, the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are making every effort to prevent Putin’s army from breaking through deep into our country’s territory through the Sumy region from the Kursk region, carrying out effective counterattacks and assault operations.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added that during the 7.5 months that have passed since the start of the “Kursk Operation”, the total losses inflicted on the defenders of the Russian occupation forces have reached no less than 55,000 “liberators”. In particular, Putin's troops lost in the Kursk region:
- more than 22,200 units of “manpower” killed;
- more than 31,800 were wounded;
- More than 940 people were taken prisoner.
