As reported by NBN with reference to Reuters material, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi made a statement that it will take at least one year to restore the full functioning of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

Grossi says that it will take months to gradually start up the plant's capacity, and more than a year, probably “even more,” will be needed to put all six power units into operation. In particular, starting up all the reactors is a very difficult process, but quite possible.

However, the IAEA Director General added that the invaders allegedly “professionally manage” the Zaporizhzhya NPP, although technical maintenance is not particularly effective against the backdrop of the war, and only after the end of hostilities will it be possible to implement more large-scale measures aimed at restoring the cooling systems damaged as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.
