The American publication Forbes writes that on March 20, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Russian strategic aviation airfield “Engels” in the Saratov region with drones for the third time in the last 10 weeks.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as a result of the drones’ arrival, 96 Kh-101 cruise missiles, which the invaders had prepared for shelling Ukraine this spring, were destroyed, NBN reports.
Journalists note that the volume of missile weapons destroyed at the Russian Aerospace Forces facility is equivalent to two months of production at the Raduga design bureau plant in the Moscow region.
One X-101 missile costs at least $10 million, so the total losses of the occupiers as a result of the UAV's landing at the airfield could reach $960 million, not counting the destroyed fuel reserves and other resources.
The media writes that the Engels airbase had encountered serious difficulties even earlier, since this is not the first time the Defense Forces have attacked it.
As reported, Yuri Ignat told how the Air Force protects Storm Shadow missiles from being shot down.
